Importing data with leading Zeros in the Zip code field

If you are loosing the leading zeros in Zip code this is because your spreadsheet program is thinking that this is a number field. you need to force it to see this field as a text field.
Use .xls format and highlight the "Zip" column and select the format as text. This will allow that field to retain the leading zero.
